The 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish

Celebrating their first 100 years of excellence, Aston Martin has unveiled the next generation of their Super Grand Tourer, the 2014 Vanquish. After a mere six year run, the Aston Martin DBS is being replaced with a refined Vanquish, which took many styling cues from the limited edition One-77. Although initial reviews have been mixed, this new Vanquish with its handcrafted grace has awakened the senses of fine automobile enthusiasts across the globe.

A true gentleman’s vehicle, the all new Vanquish represents the zenith of current Aston Martin design and engineering. The enhanced craftsmanship and styling shows its clear and coherent lineage. For instance, each body panel on the car is constructed from carbon fiber because of its high strength-to-weight ratio and flexibility of form. Signature aesthetic features including an elegant waist, elongated side strakes and LED rear light blades derived from the One-77 supercar are just a few of the finessed touches that can be seen in the new streamlined design. Dynamic performance enhancements such as a significantly upgraded 6.0-litre V12 engine and an elegant Aero Duct on the boot lid, which counteracts lift at the car’s rear when traveling at high speed, proves that Aston Martin has matched its keen design aesthetic with unparalleled technical ability. The latest engineering methods, innovative technologies and typically understated classic British design have fused together, making this muscular 2014 Vanquish a true Super GT. Practical improvements such as a significantly more spacious cabin and trunk, provide 60% more space than that of the DBS model, ensuring the new Vanquish can carry sufficient luggage for even the most ambitious grand tourist.

Handcrafted and designed at Aston Martin’s global headquarters at Gaydon in Warwickshire the new Vanquish, available as a 2+2 or 2+0, is among a broad line-up of world-class sports cars including the exquisite DB9, sporty V8 Vantage and luxurious four-door Rapide. Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez comments: “Today’s Vanquish is the ultimate expression of Aston Martin design ethos, engineering innovation and technical ability. It offers luxurious, continent-crossing capability and pure driving excitement without compromise.” The 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish is scheduled to be available for sale any day now at a starting price point of just under $300,000.
