This year marks 50 years of excellence for Lamborghini. But with super sports cars like the 350 GT, the Miura, the Countach, the LM 002 and today’s Gallardo and Aventador, this fierce brand has taken 100 years of innovation and packed it in to half that time. The company’s history is one of challenges and uncontested records set by the ambitious talent of its founder Ferruccio Lamborghini who decided to create, arguably, the world’s most beautiful and powerful super sports cars. Each of their models are the perfect embodiment of Lamborghini’s future vision: to create the “perfect” sports car. With the recent unveiling of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, an articulately styled convertible version of the Aventador, the company’s founder has continued to prove that he is willing to push any limits in pursuit of perfection.

The Roadster’s design was specifically designed to excite all five senses by combining performance, elegant style, and ease of use. The two-piece roof is made entirely from lightweight carbon fiber using advanced technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite®, guaranteeing maximum performance. The sleek engine hood on the Roadster differs from the hood on the coupe because of its central “spinal column” with two pairs of hexagonal windows connected at the sides, resembling hyper-tech armored plates. Complete with Dione 21” rims and available in the all new Azzuro Thetis shade of pale metallic blue, the Roadster has just officially made its way onto many collector’s must have list.

As we ring in the New Year, Lamborghini is gearing up for a festive year of celebrations. Owners, collectors, and fans across the globe will travel to Italy in early May to attend Lamborghini’s official anniversary kick-off. Italy’s roads will be invaded by hundreds of vintage and modern-day Lamborghinis from every corner of the globe to drive in the spirit of the Bull. Lamborghini will fund the event directly, and will also channel 10 percent of the proceeds into a fund for rebuilding social and cultural centers in the earthquake-affected area of Emilia – conscious of the need to reach out to the region which helped create the legend. The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster is a dream that can be realized for the price of $441,600, excluding taxes.
